I have read the first two scenes of the Romeo And Juliet, and the language in this book is old, so I had a hard time reading it. However, I have heard about the story about Romeo And Juliet since I understood the relationship between male and female. Ever since I knew this play, I knew this is a extremely sad story. When I was young I did not know the details between Romeo and Juilet, but I knew that they are all dead at the end of the play, so I felt so sad. When I was getting older I am not feeling as sad as I was young because I think that they finally make their own choice even if it is suicide. So many people say that this is just a play and the real life would never happen things like this. There is a play called Butterfly Lovers, and it has almost the same same story. I don't think the authors had any chance to talk to each other on "Face Book", so this dramatic story must be a situation that happens in our daily life, and it might not be absolute same, but it has so many connections between play and real life. If there are connections, characters must be created by styles, so I want to find those characters.
Because I only read two scenes I will only talk about Romeo and Juliet. It is so funny and dramatic that Romeo was not in love with Juliet first, and I think that he was just in his love dream and he did not care who is the Mrs., so he was playing his own love game. "Tut, I have lost myself. I am not here. This is not Romeo. He’s some other where" (Shakespeare 205). This is one of his lines in the play, and I can feel that he is in his own world and he does not care anything else around him because his is not there. As we all know, after he falls in love with Juliet, he realized what is the real meaning of being in love, and I am looking forward to see how he changes his mind. Juliet is a girl from a big family, and she doesn't have any freedom because people thought that men are stronger than women. Also her parents wanted her to get married with a man who she never met before. Even crazier thing is that people would not feel uncomfortable because they do this like doing business. Juliet was like every other kids listen to their parents' orders. "Madam, I am here. What is your will?" (Shakespeare 1318). This is the first sentence she says when she is answering her mother's call. It seems that she does not care about her own opinion , and she only follows her parents' direction. After she falls in love with Romeo, she starts to react against her family, and I cannot wait to see how her family reactions when they see that Juliet against their decisions.
Even though the langue is hard, this is still a great play. I have a strong feeling that I am going to cry while I read the book because we are all teenagers and we are all trying to find our own love. Those strong connections will bring us into the story and be a part of the story. I believe that we will redefine love after this play!
